MYP Coordinator
This is Aurora Hills second year of implementing the Middle Years Programme (MYP) school wide. Aurora Hills Middle School is one of only a few schools in the state of Colorado that offers school-wide MYP. MYP is certified by the International Baccalaureate Organization and offers students a challenging program that focuses on developing critical thinking skills.
The MYP at Aurora Hills offers:
- A focus on academics in eight (8) core subjects, including a foreign language
- An opportunity to enroll in honors classes in all core subjects
- An approach that develops critical thinking and important life skills
- Intercultural awareness and understanding of responsible global citizenship
- Knowledge and skills necessary to participate actively in a changing world
- Priority access to the IB/MYP program at Gateway High School
