Why I love to teach
I honestly believe in the power of science and its ability to stimulate the progress of mankind. The consolidation of the scientific method nearly 5 centuries ago created a self-correcting method for investigating the truth of the natural world, allowing humanity to launch itself from the middle age to the space age. The periodic table of the elements is one of the greatest achievements of the collective knowledge of our species. I find science and all its of its disciplines are both captivating and inspirational, a sense of wonder and curiosity I truly enjoy sharing with students. Finally, and in a very real sense, I believe that science holds the solution to all of the problems we face as a society and species. Being a part of educating those who will continue that great legacy of exploration and discovery is something within which I take great personal pride.
